Dedicated & Experienced Geospatial Data Professional
June 2008 - Present
INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT, GREATER NEW YORK AREA
Following my work with governmental bodies and collaborations with non-governmental organizations in Europe, I moved to the US in June 2008 to start a freelance career in arts, business, science, and technology. I began by volunteering with local city sustainability projects, offering mapping support and managing street tree inventory platforms.
I mapped sustainability assets using both desktop and web cartography tools.
October 2004 - June 2008
NATURAL HERITAGE MANAGEMENT ADVISER
I first encountered geospatial technology while working as a civil servant for a local environmental protection agency in Europe. Recognizing its immense potential, I decided to specialize in this field.
I utilized a proprietary GIS to supervise and manage the European Union's NATURA 2000 protected areas and sites under our jurisdiction.
During this period, I received a project completion certificate of acknowledgment from the European Council.
September 1999 - October 2004
SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY TEACHER
After earning an advanced degree in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Ecology from Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj, Romania, I taught Science, Technology, and foreign languages (English, French, German) at the K-12 level. This role allowed me to refine my communication skills and give back to the community by sharing my passion for nature and knowledge with younger generations.
